Independent consumer group Which? recently awarded Ariel Excel Gel a Best Buy Award in the washing detergent category. It scored higher than the 85 other products tested over the last two years. In fact, it scored higher than any other product tested in its category, even though the others were tested at 40°C and Excel Gel was tested at 30°C!

Best Laundry detergent
Really does clean. Love the package no mess easy to use. Wouldlike it to be a little bit cheaer but will still buy it as its better at cleaning than others i have used.

worst purchase
I thought the idea of washing at lower temperatures was very good and that is why I bought this product; However, regardless of these merits its horrible smell would stop me from ever buying this product again.

could be a bit cheaper
was a bit disappointed, it took a few washes to get out pasta sauce. when the advert states otherwise. apart from that not a bad product

Jury is out
I like this product overall and like the easy dispenser and eco - friendly aspects. we have had problems with 3 items now having patches on where the colour has been bleached out. Has anyone else had this problem?

Clean clothes AND good for environment!
We only made the switch to Ariel Excel Gel Biological a few weeks ago and have been very pleased thus far. I couldn't say Ariel Excel Gel gets clothes cleaner than our previous detergent, but it's definitely just as good. Given the energy savings using cooler water, plus the environmentally-friendly product, that's more than enough to justify our switch to Ariel!

Great Product Bad Packaging
I think Excel Gel does work brilliantly but it is so hard to get it squeezed out of the packaging it is has put me off buying it again. I am a fit 40 year old woman so it can only be worse for anyone older or frailer than me. Please consider redesigning the package - it looks great but is not user friendly.
