Not very good

Christine Torr 31.08.2009

Bought Ariel gel to try because it was on offer at my Waitrose store. I washed my white/biege bedlinen and a white towel together on a 30c cycle. Stains on the bedlinen didn't come out and had to rewash again at 40c. The gel didn't dissolve, I still had blue gel on the towel. A biege pillowcase is now un-usable because the gel had bleached it, causing a white patch approx 6x6inch. I waS going to try Ariel colour gel but after this experience will stick with the powder.

While this product is ok for me, my wife and oldest daughters clothes, leaving them smelling great and fresh, it is appauling at actually cleaning my babies and 2 year olds clothes, it doesnt actually clean, and i might aswell just spray my clothes with febreeze.

Brilliant

Carol Birkbeck 29.08.2009

Love it! Wish it was a bit cheaper rather expensive on a budget. But still I indulge myself.

Not very good

Margaret Healy 26.08.2009

I have always used Ariel and am totally disappointed at how bad this product is. Firstly the cap is not user friendly and can get stuck trying to get it off the container, but more importantly the gel does not disolve unless I wash at a higher temperture than 30degrees. Very disappointed customer.

It's okay

Sheryl Priest 25.08.2009

It is easy to use and cleans the clothes okay but doesn't get the stains out without help from a stain remover.

Dissappointed

Jo Gillan 24.08.2009

1)The container is not user friendly. The dispenser cap ( boat shape) has very rough edges and damages clothing during the wash cycle. 2) The opening cap broke after a couple of washes.

Ariel Excel Gel

Dinah O'connell 23.08.2009

Great washing gel, as you say cleans at very low temps but the container is absolutely awful. Gel not easy to get out of the container and makes the whole container slippery and greasy. I would not buy this product again for this reason only.

Doesn't do what it claims

Karen Moran 22.08.2009

I have always used Ariel powder and liquids so thought I would give the next Excel Gel a try. I have never had cause to complain before but feel compelled to do so this time. I did my normal 40c cotton wash and was very disappointed with the results. A top still had splashes of coffee, my tea towel with still full of stains and another top still had a bolognese spot on it. The Ariel hadn't removed any stains, just made them lighter. I have previously bought cheaper liquids which have done a much better job. Will never buy again.
